A Quality Control Specialist in indoor production is responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of doors produced within a manufacturing facility. This role involves implementing and managing quality control processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with production teams to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control Procedures:

Develop and implement quality control procedures for the production of doors.

Establish and communicate quality standards to production teams.

Inspection and Testing:

Conduct inspections of raw materials, components, and finished doors to ensure compliance with specifications.

Perform tests on doors for strength, durability, and other quality parameters.

Production Line Oversight:

Monitor production lines to identify and address any deviations from quality standards.

Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues in real time.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain detailed records of quality control processes and inspection results.

Generate reports on the performance of doors in terms of quality metrics.

Supplier Quality Management:

Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.

Conduct audits of supplier facilities and processes.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance overall product quality.

Implement corrective and preventive actions based on quality data analysis.

Training and Awareness:

Provide training to production personnel on quality control procedures and standards.

Foster a culture of quality awareness within the production team.

Root Cause Analysis:

Investigate and determine the root causes of quality issues.

Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards related to door manufacturing.

Stay informed about changes in quality and safety regulations.

Customer Feedback:

Analyze customer feedback and warranty claims related to product quality.

Implement improvements based on customer input.

Collaboration with Engineering:

Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that designs and specifications meet quality requirements.

Provide feedback on design features impacting quality.

Final Inspection:

Conduct final inspections of assembled doors before packaging and shipment.

Ensure that products meet customer expectations and safety standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field

1-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the production of doors

Strong knowledge of quality management systems and processes

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for door production

Attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Proficient in using quality control tools and software
