Roles and Responsibilities:
# Expert engineering and decision making skills on MS Power BI Cloud (Pro and Premium).
# Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in Data Engineering primarily focused on Analytics and Visualization.
# Experienced migration of Power BI from Report Server (on Prem) to Power BI Premium (on cloud).
# This role also includes the creation of the migration strategy and plan
# Involved in the discovery phase and identified all reports, users and other stakeholders
# They should also have exceptional communication skills as they will be expected to liaise with multiple report makers who are in turn our clients. There are around 2000 reports that need to be migrated )
# They are also expected to help finalize our Power BI Premium landscape by reviewing and improving tenant, gateway, monitoring and general operations and administration of the platform.
Experience in migrating reports from PBI Report Server to PBI Service. Preferably lead at least 1 such migration.
# Expertise in Power BI Data Modeling
# Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI Desktop. # Extensive experience on DAX.
# Expertise in connecting various data sources (both on-premises and cloud), importing data and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
# Applying row-level security to the data along with an understanding of the application security layer model in Power BI.
Experience in advanced level computation on data sets .
# Must have experience providing direct support and consultation to customers # Experience guiding team members, designing and creating solutions using best practices.
Must have communication skills capable of effectively discussing requirements with stakeholders and teams.
# Develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards.
Analyzing and optimizing slow performing report data models
# Analytical, reasoning, problem solving and problem solving skills.
Catalog integration experience
# Good experience in other Data Engineering practices required to deliver end-to-end solutions: ADLS, Synapse, Databricks etc.
