Job Description
A Quality Governance Specialist in Steam Power is responsible for developing and implementing quality governance processes and procedures within the context of steam power generation projects in India. This role involves ensuring adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Governance Framework:
Develop and implement a comprehensive quality governance framework for steam power projects.
Define key quality metrics, standards, and procedures.
Project Quality Assurance:
Oversee the quality assurance process for steam power projects from conception to completion.
Collaborate with project teams to establish and maintain quality plans.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and standards in the steam power industry in India.
Stay updated on changes in regulations and communicate implications to project teams.
Audits and Assessments:
Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with quality governance frameworks.
Provide recommendations for corrective actions based on audit findings.
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to establish and maintain high-quality standards for components and materials.
Conduct audits of supplier quality management systems.
Training and Awareness:
Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the awareness of quality standards and procedures among project teams.
Promote a culture of quality excellence.
Performance Monitoring:
Implement systems for monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality processes and project execution.
Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to quality governance.
Generate regular reports on quality performance and initiatives.
Root Cause Analysis:
Lead root cause analysis efforts for quality incidents or deviations.
Implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues.
Customer Satisfaction:
Collaborate with project teams to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are met.
Address and resolve quality-related concerns raised by customers.
Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Integration:
Integrate quality governance with HSE initiatives to ensure a holistic approach to project excellence.
Collaborate with HSE teams to address cross-functional concerns.
Basic Qualifications(requirements)
B.E/ B. Tech/ Diploma in Engineering with minimum 6+ years’ experience
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in Quality Audit skills. Lead Auditor in ISO 9001.
Proficiency in English Speaking and Writing skills.
Proficiency in Computer & MS Applications
Proficiency as a Team Leader
Interpersonal and responsive skill
Experience in Construction Site.
Lead Tutor for IRCA-approved ISO 9001 is preferred.
