About the department
Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, currently Headquartered, Region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) and to support Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for GBS Bangalore is responsible for. The Position
As an Associate Power BI Analyst in BI COE team, you will participate in financial systems operational activities at Novo Nordisk with close links to product supply at the Denmark based HQ. At Corporate Finance, we aim to be the best finance operation in the global pharma industry.
main focus areas are corporate financial BI visualization applications used for financial reporting and business decisions. In this role, you will work as an integrated part of the BI and Analytics team for product supply with close collaboration across India and Denmark. Your individual contribution to the team will be critical in growing BI and analytics within finance at Novo Nordisk. In addition, you will ensure superior customer satisfaction by providing high end quality support to the Front Office at Headquarters.
Providing business solutions for reporting and analytics using Power BI and Power Platform tools. Extend and optimize existing solutions with the goal of 100% automation and improved user satisfaction
Co-develop new innovative solutions for the finance community using the latest technologies. Conduct rigorous detailed analysis, resolution of issues and data quality checks
Creating test cases and executing test cases. Ensuring quality of solutions provided to stakeholders and adherence to project plan.
Ensuring keeping the stakeholders updated on the project. Assisting with user acceptance testing, troubleshooting and end user support
Providing documentation on technical specifications, user guidelines and end user training. Drive innovation across projects and share best practices
Qualification
Technical Qualification (Minimum Requirements):
Advanced knowledge of Power BI and MS Power Platforms
Solid experience covering the specification, design, development or implementation of a PBI solution.
Strong user experience skills and able to provide the right advice to the business.
Proficient in working with complex data models and various schemas.
Experience in SQL, relational databases and dimensional modeling.
Good experience with application management and support processes
Additional criteria
Microsoft Certification of PL-400, PL- 200 or PL-300
Experience with Alertex
Experience with Alertex DVW Connector
Experience with SAP BW and queries
Experience with pharmaceutical sales data
Experience in agile development process
Personal abilities
Strong communication skills – effective oral and written communication skills in English
Must be self-managed, responsive and dedicated to customer support
Quick learner and proactive in developing new skills and coping with the team
